Meditation

Meditation is a Journey

Many of us are overwhelmed by the complexities of our lives, we try to find ways to escape the stresses and anxieties of day to day living. Meditation helps bring balance and calmness to our mind. It is a process through which we can relax and release muscular, emotional and mental tensions.

Meditation needs to be demystified. It is not about having an internal dialogue or a question and answer session. It is not about rituals but it is a systematic practice of stilling the body, breath awareness and controlling the mind. Our practice is based in the the Himalayan Tradition that comes from the ancient cave monasteries of the Himalayas. It an unbroken lineage that has existed for over 5,000 years.

Meditation could mean different things for different people. It can be the time it gives us away from everyday pressures of life, or can help us sleep better, or we can practice it for what it brings us spiritually. What we want from meditation and the journey is our own.

Meditation is a journey without movement.
It is a simple practice that we can build into our lives

It is not a quick fix and although any amount of practice will be beneficial, regular practice is important to feel the long terms effects in our lives. Importantly, the length of time we sit in meditation is not as important as the quality of time we devote to it. Over time we will find it brings about a deep state of relaxation, a calm mind and an inner state of stillness, tranquility and self awareness.

Our participants are from varied backgrounds and from all over the world -– UK, USA, Europe, India.
